For a long time we have heard that JetBlue is reluctant to add more than 3 flights, since it would require them by contract to supply their own ground crew/ticket attendants, etc. Currently this is out sourced to Atlantic Aviation.
When we heard that they were bringing in two more flights, Orlando and Fort Myers, it was showing a big commitment to Worcester having to bring in their own crews!!! Turns out that days before Orlando is to start, the JFK flights ended keeping JetBlue flights at three (Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers).
In the short run, we do not see JetBlue making any additions and will keep their flights at three:

Now that leaves us with daily flights with Delta to Laguardia and American to JFK. The times for these flights, however, are not very conducive to make connections and are floundering. We can hope they change these times to early departure and late return. We could also changing Delta to Atlanta and American to either Charlotte or Chicago. Again in the short run, we do not see any changes here either!
Where does that leave us??

Avelo Airlines has had incredible success at Tweed (New Haven, Ct), since starting November 3rd, 2021. Surpassing 1,000,000 passengers in 15 months and look at the route map Avelo has created at Tweed!! All of this has been accomplished in less than 18 months!! That's how fast we could turn things around at ORH.
In addition to Avelo, we should not forget about Breeze. In Hartford, Breeze currently serves Charleston, SC, Columbus, OH, Jacksonville, FL, Las Vegas, NV, Nashville, TN, Norfolk, VA, Pittsburgh, PA, Richmond, VA, Sarasota-Bradenton, FL, and Savannah, GA, nonstop from Bradley International Airport. The airline also offers ‘BreezeThru’ flights to New Orleans, LA, Orlando, FL, Tampa , FL, and Tulsa, AK. 'BreezeThru' means you have one connection, it is not direct.
Here we have two airlines battling it out in New Haven and Harford, one/two hours away from Worcester, that would be perfect here!!!! Worcester should join the fight and recruit one of these airlines to ORH.
