Fundraisers For Injured Worcester Firefighter Seek Support
Worcester Firefighter Christopher Pace was saved from a burning home by Lt. Jason Menard, but was still severely injured.

WORCESTER, MA —A Worcester firefighter who was gravely injured in a deadly fire in a triple-decker is still recovering from his injuries, and there are several fundraisers still seeking money to help him and his family.
Firefighter Christopher Pace entered the burning home along Stockholm Street early in the morning on Nov. 13 with several other firefighters, including Lt. Jason Menard. When the fire grew too intense, Menard pushed Pace out a window to safety.
Pace suffered second and third-degree burns in the fire, and broke 14 bones falling from the triple-decker's second floor.
A GoFundMe fundraiser for Pace has smashed several previous goals, and is now set at $50,000 — but as of Nov. 29, the fund was $10,000 shy of that goal. Meanwhile, Pace's alma mater, Worcester Technical High School, is hosting a pancake breakfast fundraiser for him on Dec. 7.
