'Grenade' Found at Auburn Recycling Center Was Lighter
The situation has been contained and there is no threat to the public, fire officials say.

AUBURN, MA- Auburn officials were on scene at a recycling center for much of Thursday morning after what appeared to be a live explosive device was found.
The device was found at 15 Hardscrabble Rd, at Casella Recycling. Auburn police, fire and the bomb squad were called in as well as state police. The device turned out to be a butane lighter in the shape of a grenade, according to Auburn police.
The plant had been evacuated and everyone was advise to steer clear of the area while officials investigated. The all clear was given after 10 a.m. and fire officials assured there was no threat to the public.
