Habitat for Humanity Announces 'Women Build Kick-Off'
Habitat for Humanity MetroWest/Greater Worcester invites women to join these events in May.
National Women Build Week is designed to empower women here in our community, and across the country. Thousands of women from all walks of life will come together at more that 300 Habitat for Humanity sites to build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter – including at our Auburn, MA and Wayland, MA build sites. Partnering with Habitat for Humanity MetroWest/Greater Worcester, women will work hands on to help strengthen the lives of deserving women, children, and families through affordable housing. No experience necessary! While affordable housing is an issue that affects everyone, it has disproportionately affected women. Nationally, 70% of Habitat homes are sold to women heads-of-household - which in turn provides deserving women and their families with a hand up, not a hand out.

Build Site Locations and Days:
4 Homestead Avenue in Auburn, MA: Tuesday May 3 – Saturday May 7
95/97 Stonebridge Road in Wayland, MA: Tuesday May 10 – Saturday May 14
About this year’s event:
We are highly encouraging participants to create their own personalized fundraising page with a goal of at least $500 to support their build day. By asking friends, family, and business associates for support you will achieve this goal in no time! Each dollar that you capture helps low-income women, children, and families to be lifted out of poverty housing and into safe and stable homes. Thanks for being on the forefront of empowering women and strengthening families through home building!
