Here's Why Pot Aficionados Rolled A 100-Foot Joint In Worcester
The joint was rolled at the Harvest Cup at the DCU Center in Worcester, Massachusetts, on Saturday.

WORCESTER, MA — Thousands of cannabis aficionados celebrated the one year anniversary of the state's marijuana legalization law by rolling a 100-foot-long joint at the Harvest Cup at the DCU Center in Worcester on Saturday. The effort was led by the cannabis club and advocacy group Beantown Greentown, based in Boston, during an exhibition of pro-marijuana vendors and supporters.
The group used 1,000 grams of their own marijuana trimmings.
A law legalizing recreational marijuana for adults 21 and older was passed in November 2016. Rules on possession, use and growing went into effect on Dec. 15, 2016.
The Telegram & Gazette reported that the event was part competition and part trade-show. Speakers talked about the history of the marijuana legalization movement as well as how to start a cannabis business.
The center is located on 50 Foster Street.
