High School Goes Into Lockdown After Teen Makes Threats Via SnapChat
A former Auburn High School student made threats to shoot current students.
AUBURN, MA — A teen is facing multiple charges after reportedly posting threats against his former high school on SnapChat.
APD School Resource Officer B. Kennedy and other officers responded to the Auburn High School shortly after 8 a.m. on Dec. 15 for a report of threats made to the school and its' students via SnapChat by former student Marcus A. Rodriguez, 18, of Auburn.
In the videos, Rodriguez made direct threats involving using firearms against students at the high school, said police.

Police said Rodriguez is very well known to the department, and had been arrested as recently as Tuesday on motor vehicle charges and on May 23, 2016, after causing a disturbance in the lobby of the police station after Officer Ronald Tarentino's murder.
Police went to Rodriguez's home to arrest him. Rodriguez was arraigned in the Worcester District Court on charges of Threatening the Use or Presence of an Explosive or Firearm in a School or Public Building and Threatening to Commit a Crime (Murder) as well as Disturbing a School Assembly.

Although the school was placed into a soft lockdown as a precaution, no weapons were located at the time of the arrest, said police.
