Historic First: QCC Police Chief Becomes First College Leader To Join Central MA Chiefs Association
Stephen DiGiovanni officially began his tenure on Tuesday.

WORCESTER, MA — Quinsigamond Community College Chief of Police Stephen DiGiovanni was sworn in as a member of the Board of Directors for the Central Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association. This marks the first time a collegiate chief has held an officer position in the association.
DiGiovanni, who has worked at WCC for over 16 years, was nominated last month to fill a vacant three-year term and officially began his tenure on Tuesday.
The association, which represents more than 75 police departments across the region, promotes effective law enforcement, education, professional development, and collaboration among agencies.
“I am humbled and honored to be trusted in this position, and I am fortunate to be among some of the best police chiefs in the Commonwealth,” DiGiovanni said. “It’s inspiring to be part of a network of leaders who support and learn from one another.”
