ICYMI: Man Arrested for Threatening Woman With Knife: Police
Breaking: A woman flagged down police to tell them she had been threatened by a man with a knife on a bike.
WORCESTER, MA—A Worcester man is facing charges after a woman accused him of threatening her with a knife as he rode his bicycle on Millbury Street.
On Wednesday, Oct. 19 at 4:05 a.m., police were flagged down by a woman in the area of Washington and Lafayette Streets. She told police that she had been approached by a man on a bicycle in the area of Millbury Street as she attempted to go inside an apartment to visit a friend.
She told police the man held the knife by his side with the blade exposed and began yelling at her, telling her she wasn't allowed to go inside the address. The man then motioned toward her with the knife and threatened to cut her, when she fled to find police.
Police quickly located a man who fit the description on bicycle in the area of Millbury and Sigel Street. Manuel Burgos, 30, East Central Street, Worcester, was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon.
