ICYMI: Restaurant Group Opening Three More Food Establishments In City

Niche Hospitality is added a restaurant and cafe, all to complement the Railers Hockey Club, to its list of offerings in the city.

WORCESTER, MA — The Niche Hospitality Group, which owns five restaurants in the city, is planning two more, plus a cafe, this year.

The restaurant group is opening Nonna's Pizza & Pasta in the to-be-built hockey facility in the Canal District, and Nonna's Cafe in the same building owned by the Worcester Railers Hockey Club, reports the Worcester Business Journal.The group will also open Railers Tavern downtown.

Niche Hospitality Groupowns and operates Bocado Tapas Wine Bar, Mezcal Tequila Cantina, Rye and Thyme American Tavern, The Citizen Wine Bar and The Fix Burger Bar.

The new Worcester Railers Pro Hockey season kicks off in October of this year. Just over a year ago, the ECHL announced that the league’s Board of Governors has unanimously approved the new membership application from Worcester Pro Hockey LLC. The new member Worcester team plays at the Worcester DCU Center as part of the Premier “AA” Hockey League.
