Intruder In Home Invasion Charged With Shooting, Armed Burglary
A suspect was arrested in a home invasion that occurred Saturday night in Worcester.

WORCESTER, MA—Investigators have identified the suspect involved in the Dawson Road shooting. The suspect was arrested at the hospital early Sunday morning as he was being treated for a gunshot wound.
The suspect, Marc Aldana, 24, Moscow Road, Holden, was charged with Armed Burglary, Armed Assault with the Intent to Murder, Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, Unlawful Carrying a Firearm, Unlawful Carrying a Loaded Firearm, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony and Possession of a Firearm.
According to police, a man and woman came home on Saturday night around 10:05 p.m. to find their home on Dawson Road had been broken into, and it had been ransacked. The man went inside and armed himself. That's when the woman found Aldana, who forced her into the basement, and she injured her ankle going down the stairs. Gunfire ensued in the basement between the male owner of the home and the suspect.
When officers got there they discovered a man had been shot by the intruder(2) and may still be on the scene. They found a man lying on the ground (later identified as the suspect) by the entrance of the home; he was suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower extremity, semi-conscious and saying very little.
The 21-year-old female was suffering from a minor injury to her ankle and a 24-year-old male was suffering from a serious gunshot wound.
Investigators continue to work on a potential second suspect. There is limited information on a description at this time. Investigators believe that this may not have been a random incident.
