Johnny Depp Buys Worcester Artist's Work
Actor Johnny Depp's now got a piece of Worcester art in his home. Or maybe it's on his boat or plane. We don't know what he did with it.

WORCESTER, MA — It’s rumored that Johnny Depp collects Barbie dolls, and has an extensive collection of limited-edition gals that he accessorizes and changes their clothes.

But he’s got a fine eye for art, too. Few can say someone as famous as Depp has a piece of his or her artwork in their home; Scott Holloway can.
Worcester artist Scott Holloway got a Facebook message at 3 a.m. late one night from a gallery in Hollywood, CA, telling him one of his pieces had sold. Some of Holloway’s work is for sale at La Luz de Jesus Gallery, which is known for being the birthplace of pop surrealism.
La Luz was messaging Holloway to tell him that Johnny Depp had just purchased one of his pieces.
“I show at that gallery on a semi-regular basis since about 2007,” said Holloway. “I got a message from the gallery and I was amazed.”
The work was displayed as part of an annual exhibit called “Laluzapoalooza.”
“Johnny Depp goes to this gallery often and has even done a book signing there,” said Holloway.
The work that Depp purchased is pictured on this article.
Holloway’s work can be seen in the Cirque duNoir show at the Sprinkler Factory through the end of the month.
