Kennedy Won Worcester, But Markey Carried 3 Key Wards
See how the Kennedy-Markey U.S. Senate race broke down across neighborhoods in Worcester.

WORCESTER, MA — U.S. Rep. Joe Kennedy won in seven of Worcester's 10 voting wards, underscoring Kennedy's strategy targeting working class cities in Massachusetts. But incumbent Ed Markey still carried a wide swath of Worcester, according to unofficial results released Tuesday.
Markey's biggest win was in Ward 9, which runs from Elm Park west to Tatnuck and the Paxton town line. Markey also won Ward 10 (by three votes), which includes parts of Main South, one of the most diverse neighborhoods in Worcester.
Bernie Sanders' biggest win on Super Tuesday in Worcester was Ward 10. Sanders didn't endorse in the Markey-Kennedy race, but Markey was embraced by younger Sanders supporters and seen as more progressive than Kennedy.
Markey did carry Ward 8, precinct 3, which encompasses the Clark University campus. But Markey lost every other precinct in Ward 8, which includes the core of Main South.
