Kindergarten Teacher From Worcester Gets Prison For Child Porn

WORCESTER, MA — A former Holyoke kindergarten teacher was sentenced to six years in prison on Friday for possessing hundreds of pieces of child pornography, according to federal prosecutors.

Gregory Lisby, 40, of Worcester, had pleaded guilty in February to one count of possession of child pornography. On top of the six years in prison, Lisby will be on supervised release for five years. He resigned from his teaching job after his arrest in September 2019.

According to federal prosecutors, investigators found about 180 photos and 15 videos stored in Lisby's Microsoft OneDrive cloud account.

Federal authorities also recently arrested and charged a Milford second-grade teacher who had thousands of child porn images on a device at his home, prosecutors said.
