Longtime Worcester Bar Sells Large Lottery Prize
The prize was won from the Massachusetts State Lottery's $15,000,000 Colossal Millions game.
WORCESTER, MA — A large lottery prize was sold at a store in the city last week.
On Friday, Apr. 3, a $100,000 prize was sold at a longtime Irish bar in the city, Breen's Cafe, at 16 Cambridge St. The prize was won from the Massachusetts State Lottery's $15,000,000 Colossal Millions game.
To win, a player must match any of their numbers to the winning numbers on the scratcher. The game offers three players the chance to win the top prize of $15 million. Only one winning ticket of that size has been sold so far.

In September, the $15 million-winning lottery ticket was sold at a store in Sterling. The winner, DAO Trust in Milton, represented by trustee Matthew Marcus, opted to get the winnings in a one-time payment of $9.75 million before taxes.
Since then, two of eight $1 million prizes have been claimed, and 56 of 180 $100,000 prizes have been claimed.

The state lottery commission did not share who won the prize, but the retailer that sells a winning ticket typically receives a bonus from the Lottery.
