Last Day To Register To Vote In Worcester September Primary
The 2021 Worcester Sept. 14 primary will feature two City Council races for the District 1 and District 5 seats.

WORCESTER, MA — If you want to participate in the Sept. 14 primary — which in Worcester will feature two key City Council races — you only have until the end of the day to register to vote.
The good news: it's very easy to register and can be done online. Visit the Secretary of the Commonwealth's website to either register or check that you are registered.
In Worcester, some voters will go to the polls to narrow the field in two races: City Council District 1 and City Council District 5.
The District 5 primary is wide open after sitting Councilor Matthew Wally announced earlier this year that he'll seek an At-Large City Council seat. The four candidates running are Etel Haxhiaj, Yenni Desroches, Gregory Stratman and Stephen Quist.
The District 1 primary features Worcester police union president Richard Cipro and David Shea Jr. challenging two-term incumbent Councilor Sean Rose.
Two candidates from each race will go on to compete in the November general election. If you're a District 1 or 5 resident, you can find your polling place on the City Clerk's website.
