WORCESTER, MA — A leading Bay State law firm will merge with a smaller boutique firm in Boston.
Worcester law firm Bowditch & Dewey LLP will combine with boutique firm Kenney & Sams, PLLC, Bowditch announced on Thursday. Following the merger, the firm will maintain main offices in Boston, MetroWest, and Worcester, with additional offices in Plymouth and Providence, RI.
Bowditch, established in 1914, specializes in business and finance, real estate and environmental law, litigation, employment, family law, and estate and tax planning, while Kenny and Sams is a 20-year-old boutique civil trial law and risk management firm.
Both Kenny and Sams will become equity partners at Bowditch and Dewey’s litigation department, the firm stated.
“This merger with Kenney & Sams will solidify our presence in Central Massachusetts, MetroWest and Boston, and add a significant number of experienced trial attorneys to our firm as we continue our growth,” said John Shoro, managing partner of Bowditch. “This talent merger will add new expertise and depth to our firm as we continue to provide valued counsel to our clients.”
