Lengthy Investigation Leads to Multiple Arrests, Guns, Drugs
A lengthy investigation resulted in the seizure of multiple guns and drugs in Worcester.

WORCESTER, MA—After an extensive investigation, the Worcester Police Gang Unit made multiple arrests, and seized a large amount of guns and drugs during a Friday evening search of a Worcester residence.
On Oct. 28, the unit searched an apartment on Ward Street in Worcester after a several months investigation that involved the Gang Unit, members of the DEA Diversion Team and members of the ATF.
The target of the investigation involved Comal Warburton, 33, of the Ward Street address.
Around 5 p.m. members of the task force knocked on the door and loudly announced they were at the door. No one answered. Officers forced their way into the apartment, and saw several people run from the kitchen and attempt to flee. Everyone who tried to run was apprehended.
All people in the apartment were searched. An officer found a glassine baggy containing cocaine on a female identified as Thuthuy Tran. Tran also had one pill labeled Promethazine and another pill labeled Codeine in her purse. Tran did not possess a prescription for these pills, a class C substance. Another female, identified as Jennifer Ruccio, had a small baggie of cocaine. Another female identified as Paige Quinn had cocaine, heroin and clonipine discovered in her purse.
There were several other men and one woman in the apartment; all were searched and cleared, and were free to leave. Two others-Dwarn Dean and Comal Warburton-were searched. Dean was in possession of $1,278 in cash along with a key that belonged to a safe. Warburton had several automobile keys along with a key to a safe. This safe key discovered on Warburton was a match to the key found on Dean.
Officers found the safe in one of the bedrooms. Inside the safe were several baggies containing cocaine, weighing in at 45.1 grams. Also in the safe were several folded papers containing heroin along with a glassine baggie containing heroin. The heroin weighed 16.6 grams. There was also $400 in cash next to the drugs.
Officers also uncovered 72 pills identified as Quetiapine, 10 pills identified as Morphine, 7 pills identified as Cyproheptadine, 4 pills identified as Clonazepam, three more individually wrapped glassine baggies of cocaine and more folded papers containing heroin. Police also discovered packaging materials, two scales, blenders, grinders, cell phones and other items used in the cooking and preparation of narcotics for street level sale.
Officers discovered a loaded Sedco SP .22 caliber semiautomatic firearm, found inside a sock under some clothing on a bed. Two additional handguns were located under a mattress, one a Jenkins Braco Model .380 caliber semiautomatic and the other Jimenez Arms JA .380 semiautomatic firearm. Both weapons were fully loaded. One of the guns had been stolen years ago from Puerto Rico.
The following were arrested:
- Comal Warburton, 33, Ward Street, Worcester, charged with Trafficking in Cocaine, Trafficking in Heroin, 3 Counts of Possession of a Firearm without an FID Card, Possession of Ammunition, Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, Receiving Stolen Property Over the Value of $250.00, Possession of Class C Substance with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of Class B Substance and Possession of Class E Substance
- Dwarn Dean aka Jarrot Carter, 40, 148 Drive, Rosedale, NY, charged with Trafficking in Heroin, Trafficking in Cocaine (2nd or subsequent offense).
- Thuthut Tran, 30, Columbus Street, Worcester, charged with Possession of Class B Substance with the Intent to Distribute and Possession of Class C Substance.
- Paige Quinn, 23,Westminster Hill Road, Fitchburg, charged with Possession of Class B Substance with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of Class A Substance with the Intent to Distribute and Possession of Class C Substance.
- Jennifer Ruccio, 18, Warner Avenue, Worcester, charged with Possession of Class B Substance.
All five suspects will be arraigned on Monday, Oct. 31, at the Worcester County District Courthouse.
