Loaded Gun Found At Worcester Airport In Carry-On
A loaded handgun was found in a woman's carry-on bag by TSA in Worcester Airport.
WORCESTER, MA — A woman was stopped at Worcester Airport on Wednesday after TSA found a loaded handgun in her carry-on bag. A loaded .22 caliber handgun was found in the bag after it passed through an x-ray machine at a security checkpoint, according to CBS Boston.
Officers found eight rounds with one in the gun's chamber, the outlet reported. It is unclear if the woman, who is from Winchendon, is facing charges. A fine of up to $13,333 can be applied as well as $4,100 fine to first offenders for bringing a handgun to a security check.
This is the first gun found at Worcester airport.
