MA Nurses Association Endorses Joe Early, Jr., for DA

"Working together, we are building safer and stronger communities," said Early Jr.

From MNA: The Massachusetts Nurses Association (MNA) is giving Worcester County District Attorney Joe Early, Jr. a resounding endorsement in his re-election campaign. The MNA made the decision, citing DA Early's tireless efforts to increase workplace safety and to fight the opioid crisis. “The MNA is proud to endorse Worcester County District Attorney Joe Early,” said MNA President Donna Kelly Williams. “In addition to making sure that the DA’s office is accessible to our members, Joe has worked closely with the MNA in our efforts to pass legislation calling for workplace violence prevention and strengthening healthcare worker assault laws. DA Early knows nurses and healthcare professionals very well because he's a tireless advocate for their safety and protection. This November, Joe is joining nurses in saying yes to Question 1 and safe patient limits – because he understands how front-line nurses and healthcare professionals work."

“We appreciate Joe’s leadership, compassion and strength,” Williams added. “These qualities have also driven him to keep people safe in our communities and address the opioid crisis.”DA Early lauded the endorsement, highlighting the progress the District Attorney's Office has made working with Worcester nurses to better serve the community. "I am grateful for the support of the Massachusetts Nurse Association and all the work the District Attorney's Office has done – and continues to do – to protect nurses in the workplace and to help all victims of the opioid crisis get the critical care and support they need," Early, Jr. said. "Working together, we are building safer and stronger communities and I'm honored to have the support of Massachusetts nurses.
