MA Police Officer Charged With Rape, Kidnapping
Corey Fournier has been placed on administrative leave without pay.

CHICOPEE, MA – A patrol officer with the Chicopee Police Department is facing kidnapping and rape charges in connection with an incident over the weekend. Corey Fournier, 27, was arrested by Massachusetts State Police Monday evening at the Chicopee police station.
Fournier voluntarily returned to the station to meet with state police detectives, police said. He has been charged with two counts of rape, kidnapping and assault and battery.
The incident is alleged to have occurred in the early hours of Saturday, March 3 in Ayer. Police said Fournier and the victim knew each other prior to the reported assault.

Fournier, who joined the department in 2014, has been placed on administrative leave without pay. His service weapon, personal firearms, equipment and badge have been confiscated.
