Major Powerball Prize Ticket Sold In Worcester: See Where

WORCESTER, MA — Another massive lottery prize was sold in Worcester this week.

A winning $150,000 ticket was purchased at Shaw's at 68 Stafford St. in Worcester on Wednesday. The prize was won from the Massachusetts State Lottery's "Powerball" game.

To win, a player must select five numbers between 1 and 69 and one Powerball number between 1 and 26. Players can choose their own numbers or use Quic Pic to have numbers randomly selected.

Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.

The state lottery commission did not share who won the prize, but retailers that sell a winning ticket typically receive a bonus from the Lottery.

Meanwhile, two other major lottery prizes were sold in Worcester in the last week or so. A winning $50,000 ticket was purchased at a Gateway Food Shops location in Worcester on Tuesday, while another $200,000 ticket was purchased at K J Barrons Fine Wine & Spirit, 730 W. Boylston St., last Monday.

The Massachusetts State Lottery publishes a daily list of winning tickets sold statewide on its website. You can find it here.
