Man Allegedly Pulls Knife On DPW Parking Officer: Worcester Police
A man is facing charges for allegedly pulling a switchblade on a DPW officer, taunting him, and then taking off.

WORCESTER, MA—A man is facing assault charges after police say he got violent and pulled a switchblade on a DPW officer Tuesday morning.
On Sept. 12 around 10:20 a.m., Worcester police were called to the DPW Parking Enforcement Office for a report of a past assault. The DPW employee said he was on Walnut Street when he saw a blue BMW parked in a "no parking" tow zone.
The DPW employee asked the driver, later identified as Clevon Turner, 27, West Street, Worcester, to move the car. Turner said that he was waiting for someone and refused to move. The officer typed in his information to issue a parking ticket when Turner became irate and indicated that "things were about to get violent," according to police.
The DPW enforcement officer began typing the vehicle information into his hand-held computer to issue a parking ticket, when Mr. Turner became irate and said that things were about to get violent.
Turner got out of the car, took out a black switchblade knife with the blade exposed and began walking toward the parking enforcement officer, saying, “You gonna tow my car now?” He had the knife pointed toward the victim in an aggressive way, and was threatening and taunting him, said police, and then drove away.
A BOLO was issued, and an officer near Hanover Insurance spotted Turner in his car and stopped him. He saw the knife clipped to Turner's belt, said police.
The victim responded to this location, and identified Turner, who was placed under arrest. Mr. Turner is charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and Intimidation of a Witness, and will be arraigned in Worcester District Court. The victim was not injured.
