Man Arrested On 40 Car Break-Ins, Stolen Car, In Grafton and Auburn
A Worcester man was arrested for a rash of car breaks and a stolen car overnight on Monday.
AUBURN, MA — A Worcester man is under arrest after allegedly breaking into 40 vehicles in Auburn and Grafton neighborhoods, and stealing a car.
On Tuesday, Auburn officers took reports of 40 overnight car breaks and a report of a stolen vehicle. Working in cooperation with the Worcester Police Department, Detective Vincent Ross went to the Franklin Street area of the city and was able to locate and recover the previously stolen car.
Police were aware of a pattern of crime sprees in both Auburn and Grafton, with Grafton police obtaining a warrant to arrest a suspect.

Worcester Police went to a Franklin Street apartment in Worcester and arrested 33-year-old Sean Gerber on the arrest warrant. Gerber was interviewed by detectives from Auburn, Grafton and Worcester and admitted to his involvement in the breaks and to possession of stolen cars in both Auburn and Grafton.
