Man Arrested After Allegedly Pulling Gun During Group Altercation

The groups clashed after the bars emptied out late Saturday night.

WORCESTER, MA—As the bars emptied out late Saturday night, Worcester police patrolled the area at the intersection of Water Street and Harrison Street.

Police saw a group walking down Harrison Street heading toward the crowds, the group getting in a fight with another group of males. During the fight, police spotted Kaibab Gordian, Jr., 20, 81 Chino Ave., Worcester, allegedly pull a black firearm from his pocket, and then ran from police.

After a brief chase, an officer caught up with Gordian and he was ordered to the ground. Police found a loaded firearm, a Beretta .25 semi-automatic handgun, in the area Gordian had been running.

Gordian was arrested and charged with Disturbing the Peace, Disorderly Behavior, Improper Storage of a Firearm, Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition without a LTC and Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a LTC.

Gordian was arraigned Monday at the Worcester County District Courthouse.
