Man Arrested For Breaking Into Cars, Banging On Doors
A man is facing charges for allegedly stealing from cars parked in the Lincoln Street area.

WORCESTER, MA — A Worcester man is facing theft charges after police say he banged on multiple doors, leading to an arrest for breaking into cars in a nearby neighborhood.
Around 2 a.m. on Thursday, March 9, police were called to the area of 195 Lincoln St. for a disturbance. Officers were told that a white male wearing a red sweatshirt was going around knocking on multiple doors to random apartments. While on Ashton Street an officer spotted a male fitting the description.
Officers asked the man for his ID, but he said he didn't have one with him, then handed him one that didn't belong to him. He said he found the ID while walking. The ID checked out as someone who lives on nearby Sturgis Street, where there had been recent motor vehicle break-ins.
Officers had responded earlier that evening to Sturgis Street and found that two cars were broken into, and the ID belonged to a relative who owned one of the vehicles. Both vehicles had been rummaged through.
Justin Steele, 20, Paine Street, Worcester, was arrested charged with Breaking and Entering in a Motor Vehicle in the Nighttime.
Steele was arraigned Friday at the Worcester County District Courthouse.
