Man Charged With Allegedly Selling Crack In Walgreen's Parking Lot
Undercover officers spotted a drug deal in Worcester on Friday.

WORCESTER, MA—A man is facing charges after undercover officers on Friday spotted a drug deal in the parking lot at Walgreen's on Grafton Street.
On July 21, members of the WPD Vice Squad surveilled Walgreen's on Grafton Street, and an undercover officer officer spotted a man looking around and using his phone. At one point, the man was in front of the unmarked vehicle and pulled out a crack pipe, worked on it, and put it back in his pocket.
A few moments later a man, later identified as Kevinmax Kihara, 20, Penn Ave, went into the Walgreen’s parking lot from Penn Ave. Kihara met up with the male and walked across the lot to Barclay Street, where officers spotted an apparent drug transaction.

Officers split up and followed the two, with Kihara walking back to his address on Penn Ave., and the other headed to Grafton Street and then Mendon Street. Police stopped him there, and he was in possession of a small amount of marijuana. Checking his phone, they saw a recent text that he had ordered marijuana and crack cocaine, ordering $40 in crack.
Kihara, meanwhile, came out of the building walking toward Walgreen's parking lot, where officers quickly surrounded him. Kihara discarded an item, which was $40 in crack cocaine.

Realizing that police were going to search his residence, Kihara wanted to spare his family the inconvenience, according to police, and told them where the stash was located. He let the officers retrieve the rest from his room. Officers were able to retrieve an additional 2.7 grams of crack cocaine, a digital scale, a cell phone and crib notes from his room.
Kihara was charged with Possession of Class B Substance with the Intent to Distribute. Kihara will be arraigned on Monday, July 24, 2017 at the Worcester County District Courthouse.
