WORCESTER, MA — State police arrested and charged man in Worcester over the weekend after they found him in possession of a tiny handgun and illegal drugs.

Around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, state police pulled over a Volvo along Main Street. One of the men in the car, Daniel McGreevey, 27, of Sutton, had an arrest warrant, and was taken into custody, police said.

Before arresting McGreevey, police said they found him carrying a .32 caliber derringer-style gun with a damaged serial number, and Suboxone, a prescription opioid. He was charged with multiple weapons violations — including possession a gun with a defaced serial number — and possession of a class B drug.

He was held in jail on $2,540 bond, according to state police.
