Man Dies In Worcester After Stabbing In Cab

Worcester police arrested a 53-year-old man after the stabbing, Worcester's third homicide of 2021.

WORCESTER, MA — A 65-year-old man died Wednesday after he was stabbed while riding with another man in a cab, according to police.

The stabbing happened near 8:30 a.m. after the victim and another man were picked up in a cab. The victim was stabbed in the back seat of the vehicle, and was then dropped off at a hospital, police said. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Worcester police later arrested and charged Ramon Castro, 53, with aggravated assault and battery with a knife.

This is the third non-police involved homicide of 2021 in Worcester, and comes one week after a woman was stabbed to death in her apartment. The woman's son was arrested and charged after the killing.
