WORCESTER, MA — A Worcester man is being charged with receiving a stolen car after Worcester police found him sitting inside of a parked car that was reported stolen just the day before. The man was identified as James Hill, 57, of Duxbury Road.

The car Hill was found in, a blue Volkswagen, was reported stolen on Saturday. The car was left running with the keys inside in on Lincoln Street on Saturday evening when it was stolen, police said.

An officer on patrol on Sunday saw the car on King Street and ran the plates to find a match with the description of the stolen car. When the officer got Hill out of the car, he asked why he was inside but Hill had no valid reason why he was in the vehicle, according to police.

Hill will be arraigned in Worcester District Court.
