Man Punched During $5 Robbery In Worcester

He was trying to give $5 to a woman when a Brockton man approached and punched the victim in the face.

WORCESTER, MA — A local man was assaulted at a Honey Farms store in Worcester this weekend over $5, according to police.

On Saturday morning, the victim was at the Honey Farms along Highland Road when a woman in the store asked him for money. He agreed, and went outside with the woman to give her a $5 bill.

That's when Patrick Chatelain, 26, of Brockton, stepped up and snatched the Lincoln and punched the victim in the face, police said. Chatelain then left the scene.

But he didn't get far. On Sunday night, police tracked down Chatelain at a home along Queen Street, about a mile south of the Honey Farms on Highland. Police arrested Chatelain on charges of assault and battery on an elderly or disabled person and unarmed robbery. He also had three outstanding warrants, police said.
