Man Stabbed In Eye During Fight In Worcester: Police
Worcester police arrested a city man after the Sunday morning fight in the Canal District.

WORCESTER, MA — Worcester officers arrested a local man early Sunday morning after he stabbed another man in the face during a fight in the Canal District, according to police.
The stabbing happened near 2 a.m. Sunday at a parking lot along Winter Street, police said. Officers arrived to find "a large crowd and a chaotic scene," and discovered that one man suffered a stab wound to the eye.
Worcester police began searching the neighborhood for the attacker, eventually locating him along Harding Street. After a short foot chase, police arrested the 33-year-old Main Street resident near the Kenmore Diner. He was charged with armed assault to murder, mayhem, two counts of possession of a dangerous weapon, disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace, according to police.

The victim was taken to a hospital in Worcester with what police described as a "serious" injury.
