Man Stabbed in Neck on Second Floor of the Worcester Library
Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred on Monday.

WORCESTER, MA—Worcester police are searching for a suspect after a man was stabbed in the neck at the Worcester Library on Monday.
On Oct. 17, 2016 at approximately 11:06 a.m., police received a report of a stabbing inside the Worcester Public Library. Officers learned that the stabbing victim, a 30-year-old male from Worcester, had walked to a local emergency room. The victim was being treated for a minor wound to his neck. His injuries are considered non-life threatening, said police.
Two men had allegedly gotten into an altercation on the second floor of the library, during the fight one of the men stabbed in the neck.
There is limited suspect information at this time.
This is an active investigation. Investigators are reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident. Currently, detectives are interviewing witnesses and processing the scene.
