Man Struck Repeatedly With Metal Pipe Refuses to Talk to Police

A fight involving four people on Plantation Street resulted in a man being sent to the hospital with injuries.

WORCESTER, MA — A man is refusing to talk with police after being struck with a metal pipe during a fight on Thursday evening.

On Dec. 8, around 7:30 p.m., Worcester police responded to the area of 63 Plantation St. for a report of an assault with a dangerous weapon. A fight had reportedly broken out between four people, and it looked to police as if one man had been stabbed.

Police tried to talk to the 27-year-old victim, but he walked away when they approached him. Police tried again to speak with him, and noticed he was bleeding from a cut behind his ear. During conversation with the officer, the victim continually refused medical attention and refused to provide any information to officers regarding the fight or how he was injured.

Police figured out that the man had been hit in the head with a metal pipe multiple times by unknown suspects.

The victim refused to provide additional information and continually reiterated that he did not want the police involved. He was transported to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries.
