Man Suffers Injuries After Hit By A Car While Crossing Main Street
The accident is still under investigation.

WORCESTER, MA—
On Tuesday, April 04, around 8 p.m. Worcester police responded to the area of 1022 Main St., where a person had been hit by a car. A 31-year-old man lay in the southbound travel lane and several citizens were trying to give aid to him.
The victim was conscious and alert and was suffering from a laceration to the head, and also suffered a broken leg as back and shoulder pain. Worcester Fire and Paramedics arrived on scene provided medical treatment.
The driver of the 2000 Honda Civic, a 46-year-old man, said he was driving south on Main near Agawam when the pedestrian quickly left the sidewalk and tried to cross. The driver was unable to stop in time, and hit the victim with the front of the Civic, which incurred a shattered windshield.
The victim was transported to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries. Worcester Police Crash Reconstruction and Crime Scene Unit responded to process the scene and collect evidence. The accident is still under investigation.
