Man Tased For Throwing Rocks At Worcester Officer
The 30-year-old man was arrested after the Monday morning incident along Park Avenue.

WORCESTER, MA —A Worcester man was tased Monday morning along Park Avenue after he threw rocks at a police officer, the department said.
The incident happened just after 8 a.m. Monday when an officer found Tommy Huynh, 30, throwing rocks at a building just south of the Worcester Polytechnic Institute campus. The officer told Huynh to drop a rock he was holding, but Huynh hurled it at the officer, police said.
The officer used his taser, but the weapon didn't have any effect, and Huynh kept throwing rocks. The officer drew his gun and told Huynh to stop. Meanwhile, a passerby snuck up behind Huynh and tackled him.
Huynh was arrested and charged with two counts of vandalism, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and malicious destruction of property. The officer was hit in the arm by a rock but wasn't injured.
