Man Tries to Hijack Car Leaving Clark University Garage: Police
Police are seeking a suspect they say pointed a gun at a woman and held on to her car door as she tried to drive out of the school's garage.

WORCESTER, MA —
On Tuesday, Jan. 10, at 4:30 p.m., Worcester police responded to 65 Florence St., where someone had attempted an armed carjacking in the parking garage at Clark University.
A 58-year-old female had just gotten out of a conference at Clark, got into her car at the school's garage, when a young black male with a dark colored hooded jacket pulled tight around his face approached the driver's side.
According to police, the suspect pointed a gun at the woman, pulled on her door, and told her to open it. She refused, starting her car and driving away. He began waiving his gun in the air and as the victim drove away, he tucked the firearm into his waist band. The suspect held onto her car door as she drove through the garage, and once the driver reached the first floor, the suspect let go and she was able to drive to a safe location to call police.
Initial attempts to locate the suspect were unsuccessful. This investigation is still active as detectives are working to identify the suspect involved.
