Mass Cultural Council Awards $2,500 Grant to the World on Wheels

Travelnitch introduces kids to the wonder of travel

Monson, MA — February 19, 2022 — Travelnitch has been awarded a $2,500 project grant by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency, in support of their new World on Wheels program. This mobile market is hitting the road in early May and will engage visitors through story time around the world, travel-inspired crafts, and the sale of discounted books and games. Proceeds will provide virtual and real-world travel opportunities for kids living in underserved communities.

Amanda Renna, Founder & CEO at Travelnitch, shared, “We are very proud of this support. It affirms our belief that the work we do really resonates with the public. Thanks to the Mass Cultural Council, our fledgling organization will continue to grow and connect with families across the state.”

Travelnitch is also the recipient of several smaller grants from Monson, Amherst, and Southbridge Cultural Councils to host three localized events, beginning with a World on Wheels launch party May 7 at Silver Bell Farm in Monson. These events will be open to the public and families are invited for an afternoon of global inspiration. You can follow Travelnitch on Facebook for more information and event updates.

The Mass Cultural Council joins Very Important Partners (VIPs) like the National Military Family Association, Walmart, and Monson Savings Bank. There’s still time to show your support. Donors who give $100+ will be publicly recognized at the launch party on May 7. Visit wow.travelnitch.org for more information.
