Men Invade Home, Point Gun At Woman Hiding In Bathroom, Steal Car And Crash It

A woman heard knocking at her door, and grabbed her young son to hide in the bathroom.

WORCESTER, MA — Police are trying to find three men who allegedly broke into a home, pointed a gun at a woman hiding in her bathroom, stealing from her, and taking her car before crashing it nearby and running off.

Worcester police were called around 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 16, to an address on Falmouth Street, where a home invasion had just occurred, and the suspects had fled the scene with the victim's vehicle. Police learned soon after that the suspects had crashed the car nearby and fled on foot, and found the crashed vehicle close by.

The 23-year-old female whose home was invaded told police she was home with her five year old son when she heard banging at the back door. Scared of a break in, she ran with her son into the bathroom to hide.

Three unknown men forced their way in through the back door and began ransacking the apartment. During the incident, one of the suspects entered the bathroom where the female was hiding, pointed a gun at her, and threw her phone into the toilet, said police. The victim described this suspect as a light skinned male, average build wearing a black mask.

The suspects stole cash from the victim's purse, as well as her car keys. The suspects then fled the apartment, eventually taking off in the victim’s vehicle. As the suspects were fleeing, the victim’s boyfriend pulled up to the address. Police spoke with the boyfriend, but he was unable to provide police with a description of the suspects.

Detectives arrived on scene to interview witnesses and process the scene for evidence. The investigation is still active at this time as police attempt to identify the suspects involved.
