Monday Manual: It's Back-To-School Week

Look ahead to the start of the the 2021-22 school year this week including first days, COVID-19 safety plans and school jobs.

WORCESTER, MA — Welcome to the Aug. 30 edition of Monday Manual, which will be a special back-to-school edition covering seven Patch communities between Framingham and Worcester.

This week we're starting in Worcester, which is still the second-largest city in New England following the recent Census data drop (population: about 206,000). Outside New England, Worcester is now bigger than the following U.S. cities: Little Rock, Ark. (202,591); Birmingham, Ala. (200,733), Salt Lake City (199,723), Tallahassee (196,169) and Akron, Ohio (190,469).
