Multi-Car Crash In Worcester Ends In Illegal Gun Arrest
The man crashed into several pared cars, flipping his car over, police said.

WORCESTER, MA — A multi-car crash in Worcester on Friday ended in a gun arrest. Jonathan Martinez, 23, of Preston St. was arrested after police said he crashed into several parked cars, tried to leave the area and was caught with an illegal gun.
On Friday night, police were called to Woodland Street for reports of a multi-car crash. They found a crowd of people surrounding two cars that had flipped upside down and three more cars with significant damage. Police said initially, they could not find anyone who was involved in the crash.
Eventually, they spotted Martinez, who had two black eyes, trying to walk away from the scene. People in the crowd told officers Martinez had been driving one of the cars when he crashed into several parked cars.
Officers found an unlicensed handgun and magazine in his car. Martinez was arrested and taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Martinez is charged with Unlawfully Carrying a Loaded Firearm, Unlawfully Carrying a Firearm, Improper Storage of a Firearm, Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card, and Operating to Endanger. He will be arraigned in Worcester District Court.
