New Primary Care Providers Coming To Worcester County UMass Memorial Site
UMass Memorial Health-Harrington Hospital is adding four primary care providers.
CHARLTON, MA — UMass Memorial Health-Harrington Hospital is adding four primary care providers at its Trolley Crossing location in Charlton this summer.
Tammy Vargas, MD, Tatyana Sayko, MD, Monisha Sarin, MD, and Sonja Schaffer, FNP-C, will begin seeing patients Monday, July 13, at the new office at 9 Trolley Crossing Road, according to the hospital.
The providers have worked in the region for several years, and some of their previous patients are expected to follow them to the Charlton location. Harrington officials said the expansion could provide new primary care access for an additional 3,000 to 4,000 patients in the area.
"Access to primary care is one of the most important foundations of a healthy community and has been a well-documented gap in our region, across the state, and throughout the nation," UMass Memorial Health-Harrington Hospital President Edward Moore said in a statement.
"The addition of four new primary care providers and our new Charlton location at Trolley Crossing will help meet the healthcare needs of community members by making it easier to access timely, personalized care close to where they live and work," Moore said.
People seeking a new primary care provider can call 508-765-3145 to schedule an appointment with one of the new providers.
