NJ Man Pleads Guilty In Worcester Child Porn Case

WORCESTER, MA — A New Jersey man this week pleaded guilty to multiple charges that he tried to use a Worcester 11-year-old to create child pornography, according to federal prosecutors.

Jordan Winczuk, 36, of Bellmawr, N.J., pleaded guilty on Wednesday to charges of attempted sexual exploitation of a minor, and commission of a felony involving the sexual exploitation of a minor while a registered sex offender.

Winczuk contacted an 11-year-old Worcester boy in 2018 over a social media site. He then asked the boy to photograph himself nude and share the photos, prosecutors said.

"In February 2018, a search of Winczuk’s New Jersey residence recovered cell phones that contained child pornography and included multiple conversations in which he requested sexually explicit images from other apparent minors," federal prosecutors said. "At the time, Winczuk was on parole following a state conviction in New Jersey for sexually assaulting a boy and endangering the welfare of a child through the distribution of child pornography."

A judge will sentence Winczuk to be sentenced on Feb 18. He faces a minimum sentence of 15 years in federal prison on just the sexual exploitation of a minor charge, plus an additional minimum of five years on the second charge, according to the U.S. Attorney in Boston.
