A Worcester man is facing charges for trafficking cocaine, and possessing instruments for burglary.

WORCESTER, MA—A Worcester man is facing charges for having 88 grams of crack cocaine in his car, after he was pulled over for failing to stop at a stop sign.
On Friday, May 27, around 6:30 p.m., a Worcester officer saw a white Mazda sedan fail to stop for the stop sign at Aetna St. and Penn Ave. The officer pulled the car over at Penn Ave. and Mott Street, and identified the driver as Jaison Rivera-Negron, 29, 22 Cutler Street, Worcester.
Rivera-Negron told the officer that he did not possess a valid license to operate a motor vehicle; it had been suspended. The officer also discovered that Rivera-Negron had four outstanding warrants for his arrest for various motor vehicle violations and breaking and entering.
During a search, officers felt a hard object in the waistband area of Rivera-Negron’s shorts, and officers recovered a hard plastic case from Rivera-Negron’s waistband. Officers believed it was several pieces of crack cocaine. Rivera-Negron also had $4,124 on him, said police. Before towing Rivera-Negron’s car away, officers found another hard plastic case that was wrapped in paper towels. Inside this case, officers discovered two pry bars.
At the station, officers also found more crack cocaine hidden in Rivera-Negron’s waistband. The total amount of crack cocaine recovered from Rivera-Negron was approximately 88 grams.
Rivera-Negron was charged with Operating with a Suspended License, Warrants, Trafficking in Class B 36-99 grams, Possession of Burglarious Tools, and Failure to Stop for a Stop Sign.
