A vice officer spotted a car on Belmont Street that matched that of a past drug investigation.

WORCESTER, MA—An officer working undercover on Tuesday made an arrest for distributing oxycodone after he spotted a car that was in a past drug investigation.

The suspect drove the car on Belmont Street near Route 290, and the vice officer called for a marked police cruiser to pull him over.

The vice officer recognized the driver as Alexis Quinones, 31, of 21 Merrick St., and he was placed under arrest based on a May, 10 drug investigation, said police.

During a search of the car, officers found 128 individual pills (61 grams) of oxycodone, a class B substance and $919 in cash.

Quinones was charged with Distribution of Class B Substance, Trafficking in Class B Substance and Conspiracy to Violate Controlled Substance Laws.

Mr. Quinones was arraigned today at the Worcester County District Courthouse.
