Officers Respond To Fight At Strip Bar Lot, One Hit With Rear View Mirror Of Car
A disturbance at Centerfolds led to the arrest of a Shrewsbury man.

WORCESTER, MA—A Shrewsbury man is facing charges, including drunk driving, after police say he ran into an officer with his car, knocking off the rear view mirror and taking off up Route 20.
Around 1:45 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 9, several officers responded to Centerfolds on Route 20 to help out an officer who was trying to quell a disturbance. When the officers got there, the disturbance had ended, and the group that was causing the problem was across the street waiting for a ride, said police.
With emergency lights still going on the vehicles, one of the men signaled to an officer to come across the street, which he did. As they stood there talking, a vehicle hit the officer's left arm with the sideview mirror as the car headed westbound and did not stop. Officers headed west up Route 20 with the license plate number, but couldn't find the vehicle. The officer was treated for minor injuries at the hospital.
The rear view mirror was recovered at the scene and the part was traced back to a Ford Fusion, light grey. A short time later, Massachusetts State Police found the vehicle matching the description, pulled him over, and Mathew Graves, 25, Fox Hill Road, Shrewsbury, was arrested charged with Failure to Slow for a Pedestrian in the Roadway, Leaving the Scene of a Personal Injury Accident, Operating a MV Negligently so as to Endanger and Operating a MV While Under the Influence of Alcohol.
Graves was arraigned Monday at the Worcester County District Courthouse.
