Opera Legend To Perform Worcester Show
To witness her return to stage forty years after her passing will be a memorable performance.

From Music Worcester: Music Worcester is pleased to announce the “return” of Maria Callas, one of the most renowned and influential opera singers of the 20th century, at Hanover Theatre on Wednesday, November 7 at 7:30 pm.
Callas, who passed away in 1977, will be brought to the stage using start-of-the-art digital holographic technology and perform her iconic renditions of arias, including those by Bellini, Bizet, Verdi, and Puccini. Digitally remastered Callas vocal recordings will be accompanied by a live orchestra. The live musicians include: Conductor Eímear Noone, nominated for 5 Annual Game Music Awards and The ASCAP, Composer’s Choice Award, and the talented orchestra of Symphony NH. “When I think of opera, Maria Callas always comes to mind,” Music Worcester Executive Director Adrien C. Finlay said. “She is a legend and arguably one of the best singers of the 20th century. To witness her return to stage forty years after her passing will be a memorable performance for not just fans of opera, but for music enthusiasts everywhere.”
