WORCESTER, MA — A series of outdoor movies at the Worcester Common begins in July with the Disney animated film "Encanto."

Local residents can head downtown on Thursday evenings this summer to watch recent films for free behind City Hall. Each movie begins around sunset, but organizers advise watchers to arrive by around 6:30 p.m. to grab a good seat.

"Encanto" will hit the Worcester Common screen on July 21 followed by "Spider-Man: No Way Home" on Aug. 18.

Each movie will feature closed captioning, and snacks will be available to buy at each movie — although attendees can bring their own. The Worcester Cultural Development Division, Downtown Worcester Business Improvement District and Worcester Cultural Coalition are sponsoring this summer's outdoor movie series.

The Worcester Common is located behind Worcester City Hall, 455 Main St.
