Pedestrian Hit & Killed On St. Nichols Avenue In Worcester

Worcester police are investigating the crash that killed a 62-year-old pedestrian.

WORCESTER, MA- Police are investigating a crash that happened on Tuesday morning that left a pedestrian dead.

At 6 a.m. police got a call about a car hitting a pedestrian near 300 St. Nicholas Avenue. The victim was a 62-year-old man from Worcester and was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver was a 26-year-old Webster man who was on his way to work, according to police. He was driving a 2002 Nissan Sentra South down St. Nicholas Avenue when he hit the pedestrian who was crossing from left to right.

The Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating the crash.
