Two men were released after a Percocet deal occurred in a grocery store parking lot.

WORCESTER, MA — Two men are under arrest, one for selling Percocet and one for purchasing it, in the parking lot of a grocery store.

On Thursday, March 16, around 1:30 p.m., the vice squad surveilled the Price Chopper lot at 50 Cambridge St. The surveillance was part of an ongoing investigation into the illegal sale of drugs by a man named Nelson Pacheco, 54, or Worcester.

Pacheco, said police, was using a grey Subaru wagon to deliver drugs in the area of Price Chopper.

Police spotted Pacheco sitting in this Subaru at the far end of the Chopper lot. Members of the Vice Squad then observed a black Nissan Murano pull into the lot and pull up directly next to Pacheco’s car.

A male (later identified as 36 year old Jeffrey Plikunas of Dudley) got out of his car and hopped into Pacheco's. Plikunas got out about 15 seconds later and drove away in his own car.

Officers stopped the Murano and found Plikunas to be in possession of four separate plastic bags containing a total of one hundred 30 milligram Percocet pills from Plikunas. The street value was around $3,000. Officers were also able to stop Pacheco in the Subaru before he left the lot. Officers recovered $3,000 and two cell phones from the seat of Pacheco’s vehicle. Both Pacheco and Plikunas were placed under arrest.

As a result of the investigation, members of the Vice Squad applied for and were granted a search warrant for Pacheco’s residence on Irene Street, where they found. 24 Percocet pills and $8,623 in currency.

Pacheco is being charged with Distribution of a Class B Substance, Possession of a Class B Substance w/ the Intent to Distribute, and Conspiracy to Violate the Controlled Substance Laws. Plikunas is being charged with Possession of a Class B Substance with the Intent to Distribute and Conspiracy to Violate the Controlled Substance Laws.
