Person Charged After Worcester Hit-And Run On Chandler St.

WORCESTER, MA — Worcester police have charged a 21-year-old city resident in connection to a serious hit-and-run collision earlier this month. The victim is still in the hospital, according to police.

The collision happened around 9:15 p.m. on Jan. 14 when the 29-year-old victim was hit along Chandler Street between Queen and Bellevue streets. Shaonte Roux is facing multiple charges, including leaving the scene of a crash, speeding, and driving negligently.

The victim was found unconscious in the roadway. Another vehicle had stopped to let her cross the road when she was hit, according to police.
